Went out larging it Leicester Square on Monday, because why not?

Snow! I caught the train from Hertfordshire this time, and everything was so pretty in the snow! That was about as far as my appreciation of nature went, and as my feet felt like they were about to drop off (I wore Converse. Why the fuck was I wearing converse?!) and my train got later and later, I thought back to how nice last summer was and how stupid I was to diss it. Sure, snow is fun when you're a kid, but when you're using British public transport the magic starts to wear off.

Anyway, the train only took 20 minutes; I mean, what? It was a breeze, and only two stops til Kings Cross! My mood was further lifted by seeing an ad for the Taskmaster Specials, and ending up taking a photo of it like a right weirdo. (Cmon, it's such a strange experience to see the stuff that only usually exists on my computer screen in the real world! (Yes, I'm from the country, how could you tell?))

I was only really going in so I could get my Secret Santa gift (from the shiny new Japan Centre!) but felt like it would be a wasted trip to just leave the city at lunchtime. So, I larged it in Leicester Square! Sort of.

First stop was the Arts Theatre, where Tim Key's Megadate had just finished. I wanted to get a pic of the nice sign with his name on, but when I got there there were people taking it down :( Maybe next time!

Got very excited seeing the big Horne Section poster in the main square! Very proud of those lads. I tried to take a selfie with it, but people were looking and it got a bit awkward... There were a few other comedy posters about too.

XFM headquarters! Worked out what window was John and Elis', and then quickly moved on. Sara's show is playing in the building next-door to the Leicester Square, and I'm sad it's going to tour to anywhere near me... John's show, however, is coming to my city in March! I may just buy the tickets now, and see if I can make it to the gig later. (I just really want to see John, guys... ;_;)

Haven't had the time to watch much stuff recently, being bogged down in deadlines. I'll endeavour to finish all outstanding work off as soon as, so I can get round to drawing fanart of XFM radio DJs in Harry Potter AUs! (What a life I lead...) I did however manage to watch the first episode of Dave Gorman's Modern Life is Goodish and loved it! Powerpoint-based edutainment and detail-obsessing is already one of my favourite things thanks to Alex Horne's shows but wow, I bloody love Dave Gorman! Will be watching more as soon as possible.

looks like you had fun?? i love the look of winter lol but i know i'd be absolutely terrible in cold weather.

oh, i can't recommend John's show enough! I hope you'll be able to see him!

yaaaaay you watched Modern Life is Goodish!! I'm so so glad you liked it, Dave's relentless attention to detail is just the funniest. He recently announced that Series 5 would be the last though, which i'm still sad about :c
