Cris needs to get a flipping job

I've got to find an arts internship and it's so harddddd. I'm looking for work in the niche of based in London, accepts people without a degree, not too graphic design-y and doesn't look like shit. I'm already a bit iffy about the concept of arts internships (and how places regularly use them to take advantage of desperate students for unpaid work) and The Arts Council seem to agree with me. There's not a lot going online, so I've spent this afternoon asking around contacts. Fun! I think I'm going to apply for some festival volunteering work this December and see how that goes. In the future, I'd like to try out some gallery work, sorting prints and the like. We're going to get there folks!
Today I caught up on Elis James and John Robins' XFM podcast! They did the Sorting Hat quiz, which made me very happy (and fuelled the hogwarts!britcom AU that exists solely in my sad, sad mind). Also, Elis burst out and said an unprompted "I LOVE YOU" at John which was all kinds of cute! After being questioned by John, Elis put it down to being "buzzed" after his coffee and cinnamon breakfast.
Not much else has happened really! I've been watching old Buzzcocks episodes with Stewart Lee and Tim Key, because I'm trash and crave any content with them in (esp. Tim!) Ordered some more retro Fist of Fun guff from eBay, partly because they make it so easy to buy things, but mostly because I crave 90s Lee and Herring with all my heart. If I had a finger that could travel though time....

Date: 2017-11-25 07:39 pm (UTC)Not quite a retro-oner, (I'm catching up up in the sense that I've that whole backlog to catch up with!) but at the rate I'm going through them (three or four a day!), I should be by the end of the year. Wait up for me!! :P

Date: 2017-11-26 10:54 pm (UTC)ok, so i listened to episode 194 and hmm surely John would be more Ravenclaw than Griffindor. I'm not here for his Hufflepuff negativity tho (how dare he)

Date: 2017-11-28 03:53 pm (UTC)I could talk until the cows come home about comedians' Hogwarts houses and yes, John is definitely a Ravenclaw, no matter how much he protests the fact. (I mean, judging from his anecdotes, he's hardly "brave and daring, to the point of recklessness"...? Ravenclaw for that boy, no doubt about it.)
Also, boo to the Hufflepuff dissing! Elis fits that house perfectly.
