And I'm back! Exams are over, the sun is shining, and I'm ready to sit in my room on the computer for hours go be really productive! So many ships, so little time...

Alright, highspeed catch-up time!

My plans for the summer are to level up my drawing skills and attempt to finally git gud. I might do one of those 'draw something a day' things? In any case, feel free to harass me if you you see me procrastinating on
twitter, or whatever.

Also, I'll see if I can adult enough to book plane tickets to Germany to visit friends. I've never gone abroad without parents, so god knows how that might turn out.

Anyway, how has your past month or so gone? Seen any shows you think I should watch? Tell me!

Just a heads up that I might disappear off of here for a few weeks because the dreaded exam season has arrived, and I'll have very little time for anything else other than revision and crying. I should be done around late June-ish, and will have a lot to catch-up on, telly-wise. (Taskmaster and The Last Leg, anyone?)

See you on the other side, I guess!

Had a rather stressful day today, but it was made all the more better by watching the final episode of Decline and Fall, the smashing BBC adaptation of Evelyn Waugh's novel. All my favourite comedy actors were in it, including a pleasingly lengthy appearance by Paul Higgins of TTOI fame! Don't worry, he's still just as aggressive and Scottish as he's always been (*flashbacks to Line of Duty*).

Oh, and if you can't already tell, I'm simply dreadful at writing. Everyone here is always so eloquent and good with words it makes feel a little ashamed. I don't write fic, I'm more of an artsy type.  As proof I'm not entirely useless have this David Mitchell in a Stuart ruff I so hastily doodled:

I've spent the last 15 minutes or so trying to track down slashfic for the lovely comedy duo of Adam and Joe, and I'm shocked to say that my search has been fruitless. I mean, wtf Internet?! Nothing? They're so easy to ship, I mean one half of the duo is already known as being (very) bi, and they both have such great chemistry! To be honest, I think I'll have to just make content myself.

So, anyone out there a closeted Adam and Joe fan? Please do tell, because at the moment it seems like I'm the only person out there who loves these two wonderful chaps!

Spent the day wrangling code to make tv rec and fic rec list pages for my blog. Hard and mundane work, but the reward is that I'll get to share the creations I love with others: it's all worth it in the end! The work-in-progress fic rec page can be found here, if you're interested. I'm going to be adding more from my AO3 bookmarks whenever I've got the time.

I haven't been here very long at all, but here's my end of year meme!

Your Main Fandom of the year:
Yogscast for the first quarter, then TTOI and Britcoms in general. I swapped around a lot this year.

Your Favourite Film this year:
Disgracefully, Zootropolis. I loved the message it gave and the cute character designs were super!

Your favourite book this year:
The Liar, by Stephen Fry

Your favourite album or song: Excommunication, by Tyler Glenn

Your best new fandom discovery of the year: Britcoms, notably The Thick of it and Jeeves and Wooster.

Your biggest fandom disapointment of the year:
Probably having to leave the Yogs fandom, it was a bit of a shock having to leave my main fandom from the last 6~ years. It wasn't like I had a choice, I would've felt morally wrong if I carried on making content and supporting them. Anyway, leaving the Yogs did mean I got to discover many brillliant new fandoms and friends!

Your TV BF son of the year:
Ahh, too many! To name a few; Justin Ripley, Steve Arnott, Robert Webb, Jamie MacDonald, Dean Monroe, Henry Best, Ben Whishaw

Your TV GF of the year: There have been many, but the biggest has to be Katie McGrath.

Your biggest squee moment of the year: The entire first series of Aqours, mostly. Oh, and Cucumber/Banana!

Your most missed fandom of the year: Yogs, for sure.

A fandom you haven't tried yet, but want to?: Not sure, maybe YOI or Batman

Your biggest anticipation of the new year:
Starting my illustration course at college! Also all the exhibitions and documentaries to do with the decriminalisation of homosexuality that'll be springing up, I can't wait!

I think I may be slowly falling into Britcom hell.

Alright, that's a lie. I think I've been into British comedy since I popped out the womb, really, or at least some of my earliest memories are of watching them (Alan Partridge comes to mind). But now I'm getting involved in the whole fandom, and I'm really excited about it. It's brilliant getting that thrilling feeling of finding something you're really passionate about again, and joining a fandom and sharing ideas. I'm currently figuring out what shows I like, and David Mitchell's probably my favourite at the moment; although I do have a massive soft spot for Alan Davies!

In other news I've gotten a bit tired of the whole 'Meme Culture' (I felt a bit naff just typing that out) on Tumblr. I just can't keep up with what's funny and what's old that week, and to be honest I really don't care. Perhaps I should take it as a sign that I'm finally growing up into a boring, responsible adult.

Speaking of news, I understand that the HIGNFY prediction in my last post turned out to be untrue, however I'm certain that this time they simply must use the tub of lard! Either that or get another panel show regular to pop on. I can always hope, you know!

I have a terrible terrible habit of getting obsessions over the most obscure ships one could think of. At first it didn't really bother me, but I soon realised how it means there's barely any content for it on the net, which really is tragic. And if there is a sprinkling of fic about, most of it is written in like, 2004, or something ridiculously distant in internet terms, and the few people who shipped it have since moved on with their lives. Let me give you a few examples of my precious rarepairs:

Evening everyone, I'm Cris, and this journal will probably be about a whole variety of Britcoms and panel shows. Let's see where this takes us!
